Portable Toilet Rental: Frequently Asked Questions

Same-day delivery availableClean units, serviced on scheduleOne call handles it all

Straight answers to the questions we hear every day. If yours is not here, call (855) 343-0136 and ask a person — that is faster than any FAQ page.

How do I book a portable toilet rental?

You call (855) 343-0136. That is the booking process. We ask what you are dealing with — jobsite, wedding, festival, remodel, emergency — then the practical details: how many people, how long, the site address, and any access quirks. From that we spec the units, the count, the delivery window, and the servicing schedule on the spot. The booking is confirmed before you hang up, and you get a confirmation you can forward to your foreman or coordinator. No forms, no accounts, no waiting for a callback. The whole call takes about five minutes.

How fast can I get units delivered?

Same-day and next-day delivery is often available when you call early in the day during our open hours — Mon–Sat 7am–7pm CST, Sun 7am–12pm CST. Truck routes get built in the morning, so the earlier your address is in the plan, the faster the wheels turn. Standard bookings typically land within a day or two. Emergency situations — septic backup, water main break, vendor no-show — get priority routing. Call (855) 343-0136 and we will give you a straight answer on timing for your specific address instead of a vague promise.

What is included in the rental?

Everything. Delivery to your site. Professional setup: positioning, leveling, doors checked, dispensers stocked, sanitizer filled. Scheduled servicing for the life of the rental: pump-outs, deodorizer recharge, interior wipe-downs, restocking of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. And final pickup with a last pump-out on site. You never handle waste, never clean a unit, and never haul anything anywhere. One call covers all four stages.

How many portable toilets do I need?

It depends on headcount, hours per day, and the kind of gathering. A starting rule of thumb: one standard unit per ten workers for a full jobsite week, or one per fifty guests for a four-hour event. Alcohol service, high heat, and long days all push the number up. Big multi-day festivals need banks of units spread across the venue, not a single cluster. Give us your numbers on the booking call and we will size it precisely — we do this math all day. Our sizing guide walks through the full calculation if you want to run it yourself first.

Do you rent for a single day or just a weekend?

Yes — short-term rentals are a core part of the business. Single days, weekends, one-week stopgaps: backyard parties, moving days, open houses, youth tournaments, emergency coverage while the plumber works. Same clean units, same full service, same delivery and pickup — just on your timeline. Fast booking, fast delivery, fast pickup. In and out, problem solved.

Do you offer long-term rentals for construction projects?

Yes. Long-term plans cover projects and sites that run for months: one unit or twenty, serviced on a locked-in schedule that never needs a reminder call from you. Seasonal facilities, extended construction, remote operations, agricultural sites — wherever the need is measured in months instead of days. When phases stack up and the crew grows, one call adds units. When phases wrap, we pull units back. The rental flexes with the project instead of locking you into a guess you made at groundbreaking. See long-term porta potty rental for the full details.

How often are the units serviced?

Standard jobsites run on weekly servicing: pump-out, deodorizer recharge, wipe-down, restock. Heavy-use situations get tighter intervals — events with alcohol, high heat, and big crowds can need service every day or even multiple times a day. Multi-day festivals get overnight servicing between days so guests arrive to fresh units each morning. We set the cadence together on the booking call based on your headcount and conditions, and you never have to remind us. If usage spikes between visits, one call gets a tech out for an extra service.

What does servicing actually involve?

A full service visit means the waste tank gets pumped out completely, the tank gets recharged with deodorizing treatment, the interior gets wiped down — seat, surfaces, and high-touch areas — and toilet paper and hand sanitizer get restocked. The tech also checks the door latch, the dispensers, and the general condition of the unit. Most visits happen without you needing to be present or even noticing we were there. The truck shows up, does the work, and leaves.

Do you have ADA accessible units?

Yes — real accessible units, not standard boxes with a sticker on the door. Ground-level entry with no step up, a wide door, grab bars at the correct heights, and a full sixty-inch turning radius inside for wheelchair maneuvering. We help you hit the right ratio of accessible units for your crowd and place them on firm, level ground with a clear step-free route from the main areas. Public events, jobsites with accessibility requirements, weddings — everybody gets a unit that actually works for them. See ADA portable toilet rental for details.

Can I rent restrooms for a wedding or upscale event?

Absolutely. Weddings and upscale events usually go with deluxe flushable units or restroom trailers. Deluxe units have a real flushing toilet, a sink with running water, a mirror, and more room — no power or water hookups needed. Restroom trailers bring flushing porcelain toilets, running-water sinks, vanity lighting, mirrors, and climate control: air conditioning in August, heat in October. We place them discreetly — close enough for guests, out of every photo sightline — and mid-event servicing keeps everything fresh from ceremony through the last dance. See wedding porta potty rental and luxury restroom trailer rental.

What about large festivals and concerts?

Festival sanitation is a planning discipline and we treat it like one. We size unit counts from your real numbers — peak attendance, set times, beer gardens, multi-day runs — and place banks of units at every high-traffic zone so lines stay short. Multi-day events get overnight pump-outs and restocks between days, daytime touch-ups during the event, and on-site attendants for the main banks when the crowd gets serious. Delivery lands inside your vendor load-in window. See festival and concert portable toilet rental for the full playbook.

Do you handle construction sites and high-rise projects?

Construction is the backbone of the business. Standard rugged units for ground-level crews with weekly servicing baked in. High-rise units on steel skids with certified sling points for towers — they ride the crane or the construction elevator and move floor to floor as the work rises, so the crew stops losing hours to vertical travel for every break. Add units when phases stack up, pull them back for punch list. Jobsite sanitation that flexes with your schedule. See construction porta potty rental and high-rise porta potty rental.

Do I need hand-wash stations too?

In most cases, yes — and in some jurisdictions near food service, they are required. Hand-wash stations are standalone units with foot-pump freshwater tanks, soap dispensers, and paper towel holders. They set up next to any restroom bank with no hookups needed. Crews working concrete, soil, or demo dust need real soap-and-water washing by rule and by sense, and event health departments expect them near food vendors. Pair one with every bank of units and stop hearing about the sanitizer running out. See hand wash station rental.

Where will the units be placed, and what does the site need?

You tell us where you want them and we put them there — or we help you pick the spots. What the site needs is straightforward: firm, relatively level ground the service truck can reach, and enough clearance for the truck to maneuver during servicing. Mark your preferred spots before delivery day, or walk the site with the driver when we arrive. For events, we spread banks across the venue based on foot traffic, wind direction, and sightlines. Tell us about access constraints on the booking call: locked gates, soft ground, tight alleys, stairs.

Do I need a permit for portable toilets?

It depends on where the units sit and your local rules. Units on private property — a jobsite, a farm, a backyard — generally need no permit. Units on public right-of-way, sidewalks, or streets often do, and the rules vary by city and county. Some HOAs have their own restrictions on how long a unit can sit in a driveway. We flag the common local requirements when we know them, but permits are the site operator's responsibility. When in doubt, check with your city or county before delivery day — it beats a surprise from code enforcement.

What happens if a unit is damaged or tips over in a storm?

Call us as soon as you see it: (855) 343-0136. Storm-tipped units get stood back up or swapped out, and damaged units get assessed and replaced. We anchor units in wind-exposed placements and watch forecasts on active routes, but weather does what it wants. The faster we hear about a problem, the faster it is fixed — do not wait for the next scheduled service visit if something looks wrong. See our terms of service for how damage and liability are handled.

Can I change, extend, or cancel my rental?

Yes to all three, and all three are a phone call. Crew doubled? We add units. Project running long? We extend the rental and keep the servicing schedule rolling. Event adding a day? Covered. Phase wrapping early? We pull units back. Cancellation works the same way: call us, and the earlier you call, the cleaner it is, because the truck has not rolled yet. Projects get delayed and events get rained out — we would rather hear it early and rework the schedule. Full details are in our terms of service.

Which areas do you serve?

The 48 contiguous states plus the District of Columbia, all through one number: (855) 343-0136. City, suburb, or five miles down a dirt road — if it is inside our footprint, we get units there. Rural delivery is business as usual, not an exception. See our coverage page for the full state list, or skip the browsing and call with your site address. That is the fastest way to get a yes.

Why should I call instead of booking online?

Because a two-minute conversation beats a web form for this purchase. Portable toilet rental is shaped by headcount, dates, address, access, and timing — the answers change the spec, and a person who has placed thousands of units will ask the questions you did not think to answer. No accounts, no logins, no quote requests sitting in an inbox for two days. You call, we spec it, it is booked before you hang up. Call (855) 343-0136 — lines are open Mon–Sat 7am–7pm CST, Sun 7am–12pm CST.
